Well as far as I know that gar ne aaaaaaaaaaah is ****, it has wax in it that at first makes the hair all nice and non frizzy and shiney... but then build up occurs and more build up occurs.

If I was to suggest anything Aveda put out an entire line for curly hair called - Be Curly - Its great! And smells awesome!

If you have curly hair like I do you have to keep as much moisture in your hair as possible. Over the counter just doesn't really cut it when you have beautiful curly hair! So do your hair a favor and go to a salon and do it right. Its really not that much more expensive and lasts much longer than over the counter.

+Don't you dare shampoo your hair more than every other day, if you need to restyle it just wet it, don't wash!

Use a salon quality product. I know that they are more expensive but a lot of the drug store brands (like garnier and panteen) just coat your hair in silicon or something and don't really do anything for you. Try Aveda- Be Curly or try the Matrix Curl Life system (It comes in bright green bottles). Redken Fresh Curls is great too!! Also, Matrix has a few different lines that I've used which work great! Try to switch what product you're using every once in awhile because any product I've used long term after a while made my hair dull. But if you switch every other month it always works great.

Use anti-frizz hairspray. It will help. Use it in the morning. If there is anti-friz shampoo and conditioner. Buy it. Try Deep conditioner. i use it. its really good. Use the Curly type. It helps it look cuter.

I use to have a perm and it looks soo cute after the shower, and then in the day, it frizzes up too. I just pulled my hair up in a pony hair and hairspray it or pull it up half way, slanted a little. Like a cheerleader. Thats when I had a perm, now my hair is back to normal, nice and striaght. But curly hair is soo cute, but its hard to handle. lolz

Hi. I have very long curly hair. My hair looks like it's a relaxed spiral perm. I turn a lot of heads because of how my hair looks. I am told all the time how pretty it is, I think it matches me perfectly. My personality is very feminine, and I am very earthy. I love earth tones and don't like to wear makeup very much. However, when I go to a store to find business clothes, all the suits are tailored for girls with short hairstyles, clean cuts, crisp looks. I cannot pull that off, not with my hippie type aura. I definately will not cut my hair, I am looking for a style of clothing that will compliment my natural beauty, tones that are soft, and earthy. I want to look professional, but I do not want to look like a 'suit'. I'm having a hard time finding clothing for work based on the type of person I am. I am most comfortable in cottons, loose clothing and sandles. However, I need to go a bit more professional. Any ideas would be helpful. Web links or such. Thanks so much.

first off, designer don't make outfits for a specific hair style. it's for a specific body type.

i think you just have'nt found an outfit that you like.

i have long curly hair too and dont wear makeup but im very feminine and i feel competely fine in wearing business clothes because its all about how you feel and present yourself.

be confindent and anything should look decent on anyone.

plus they have earthy tone business suits, or just nice khaki pants with a white shirt and jacket with flats or heels.

Use curling irons or straighteners if you have them and put hairspray or curling spray on to make it hold. Apart from heat appliances like that, there's no way you can get quick curls from dry straight hair... sorry!

ya my hair looks messy scrunched too. anyway, @ night, once u get out of the shower, make sure your hair is DRY, or else it wont work. then tell someone to put FRENCH braids on the sides and in the middle of your head. make sure they are TIGHT (not so tight that it hurts u, but ya, tight). and then if u have any, put some curling spray on the braids. then in the morning take them out and spray the curling spray on your hair again. and there u have it! :)

P.S. Mousse does NOT work %26amp; neither does curling irons

braid your hair when it is towel dry, spray in some curling spray, go to bed, wake up take out the braids spray agian with curling spray. looks great. (it is more wavy then curly, but is really cute (= %26lt;3 )

I suppose the obvious answer would be to use diferrent, special shampoos. but as a frizz sufferer myself, i strongly reccommend the Nicky Clarke range. Follow all the steps on the bottles for about two weeks, and the frizz does become sleeker and more manageable. And no, i am not an advertiser for Nicky Clarke, i just happen to think his products are great.You might want to try the Frizz ease emergency spray as well, can often work wonders in emergencies. Use hot rollers! Love 'em! Also, what I sometimes do is I use Herbal Essences Body Envy shampoo and conditioner, and blow-dry it with the diffuser, moving the drier in circles underneath the hair.

section your hair into little pieces. take one piece put it in the curling iron as close to your hear (or however high you want the curl to start) then just wrap your hair around the iron, dont turn the iron around your hair. the curls should come out all different and should look like the pick. make sure to use some styling product so the curls will stay

ringlet07 is a great product you can get it at j.c. pennys put it on while your hair is still wet (don't put it in the roots) and scrunch your hair with hands. Do not brush hair after it drys cause it might get frizzy (my does that) only brush when wet. hope that works 4 ya!

Okay well first you should try to hot roller it and while those are in your hair you should plug in your curling iron. after the hot rollers are done take them out (obviously) then fix the pieces that you don't like with the curling iron! its really easy and takes probably no less than 30 min..unless you have a lot of hair.

p.s if you have bangs and they aren't working with your look try to pull them back into a small poof giving a cute and classy look with all of your curls!

i have curly hair too and what i have found to make styling easier is to get your hair to relax before doing anything. I sugest you getting your hair chemically straghtend or straightening it yourself

Well I don't have curly hair, but what I do is get a comb and a wad of hair, then run the comb through my hair, slowly. Then I clamp the straightener down right behind it, and SO slowly pull it down following the comb.

Curly hair isn't ugly. My hair is curly and I absolutely love it, I get so many compliments on it. Well you can buy a cheap straightener for $15 which works just fine, I have one and hardly ever use it, but when I do it works great. Or you can just brush your hair when you blow dry and keep blow drying and brushing until your hair is completely dry, usually it makes it frizzy so you have to sleep on it and then it's frizzless and straight.

When I first started straightening my hair, ( because it is thick and naturally curly like yours), I used my sisters as well. But like you, she got really annoyed. So I went to TARGET to look for a straightener. I found one, and it was like perfect. It was about $30 and, gasp, it lets you straighten your hair when its wet. I KNOW, its a dream come true for girls like us. Its called REMINGTON wet-to-dry. It works really well. But soon my life got really busy and i just didn't have the time to straighten it myself. So this is what i did. I got a babysitting job and charged $5 an hour. Soon enough, i had like $100 dollars, and I went and got my hair done. I had the girl at the salon wash my hair THOROUGHLY and then she blow dryed it straight. It look GORGEOUS!! I didn't wash my hair for about a week cuz my mom said it would be perfectly fine. if you really need a straightener, i would NOT use a product, they never work, what i would do is get a frizz shampoo like the SUNSILK because it helps to make straightening easier.

You don't say how long it is or how it is cut. Layers will help bring out the curl. Also, get some curl cream or gel and work it through your hair with your hands after washing your hair. Then let it dry naturally or use a diffuser. You could also experiment with twisting some pieces after applying the cream/gel and let it dry that way then you can separate the twisted pieces with your fingers if you need too loosen it a little. Don't brush it, the curl will turn to frizz. Try this before getting a perm.They can turn out bad and damage your hair. Check out this site. www.naturallycurly.com

Well, once I had to make my hair REALLY curly for this school play I was in... and what I did was this:

Curled my hair like you would normaly do, then while theh air was wrapped around on the curler, put some hairspray on it. Then, when you take the curling iron out, spray your hair again with hairspry. Then just keep doing this for your whole head.

This will last like a whole day..

But, just a warning: You curls are REALLY hard, and they look really curled!

Put a leave in conditioner in your hair. It will help keep the dirt and grime from getting into it. The beach also had one of the showers you can wash under after you get out. Make sure you run your hair through it after you get out of the ocean.

Well as far as I know that gar ne aaaaaaaaaaah is ****, it has wax in it that at first makes the hair all nice and non frizzy and shiney... but then build up occurs and more build up occurs.

Some advice: since you just got your hair colored, I'd be careful not to get it permed right away. All those chemicals can damage your hair.

In lieu of getting your hair permed, have you tried rollers? You can usually buy them at just about any drugstore (like Walgreens) or beauty supply store. This is a less permanent solution to having wavy hair.

If you do decide to get a perm, make sure the stylist doesn't use the really tiny rods. If you want that thick, wavy look (like Debra Messing from Will %26amp; Grace), using the biggest rods are best.

I got my hair permed a month ago, I have dry hair by nature and it only made my hair slightly dryer than it normally is. But that's ok because with my straight hair I had to wash it everday to keep a style, with curly hair I do it every other day, so I break even. The only thing you have to worry about is your color. A perm strips the color slightly, so if you have it dyed, that'll be a little lighter and so will your highlights. There are different types of perms. I'm not sure what kind I had but it didn't burn my scalp. Ask your hairdresser if they have a milder perm so it won't burn you. Some chemicals are stronger than others and lately they have come out with gentler chemicals since a lot of people are sensitive to them. It's not going to ruin your hair or make it fall out...people who experience that most likely have their head dipped in a bowl of bleach everyday, because my hair is still intact, and as I mentioned, is dry and also VERY fine by nature.

If you just dyed your hair, i would lay off perming it for awhile. The chemicals cause your scalp to burn. It sounds like your hair may be in need of major TLC. My advice, get a hair straitener...i have REALLY curly hair and i can't live without my straitener...if you're going to take my advice seriously then look for the remington t-studio...it's not too hot for your hair or anything so don't worry about that...you'd be surprised how free your hair will feel when it's all straight and perfect...just don't straighten it on rainy days...hope this helps! =]

I spray (with hairspray of course) the inch-inch and a half peice of hair and coil it around the curling iron starting near the roots insted of starting from the tip and rolling the iron up. I was having your problem for years and years until my cousin whom is a hairdresser, introduced me to "Catwalk" curl amplifier .a.k.a. Curls Rock 5(it is in a blue bottle with white writing). I know they sell this product at the hair salon, however, I think that some Shoppers Drug Marts carry it. I live in a small town, and one carries it, so, depending where you live, they may carry it at Shoppers. What I do is when I get out of the shower, I just grab a towel and dry my hair. I DO NOT flip my hair upside down, and play around with it(i find it makes my hair more frizzy that way). After i just towel dry my hair, i pump 1-2 squirts in the palm of my hand, and with the other hand, ill put small amounts in my hand, and just scrunch, starting from one side, and working my way back. Each time you scrunch a new section, make sure you have enough serum in your hand. I just sit and let it air dry. Then a few hrs later, i have really nice wavy hair. And if you find that while you are waiting, it is not drying the way you want, you can add more. :) I know you are trying to stay away from the wet look, sooo, dont use too much. PLUS, i have thin, medium length hair, soooo, two pumps may be perfect for you because your hair is thick. (I like more the wet look). But..if you watch the amount that you put in your hair, you will be fine. You can be the judge!! But i find this works the BEST!!
