Has anyone used a chemical straightener for curly hair?

Has anyone used a chemical straightener to straighten curly/course hair? What about the Japanese permanent straightener? What is the best way to straighten curly/course hair without having to go the chemical route?

Buy a Chi flat iron, if you don't want to do the chemical route.

Buying a straightener. It takes alot of work. BUt ifyou want straight hair.. its what you have to do.

ANd why would the japanese have permanent straighteners... they already have straight hair.

I use the ionic straightening stuff, but it didn't work.

It might just be because my hairdresser is incompetent.

I have really curly hair and my senior year I decided to get it chemically straightened and I had my hair dresser use the Rusk Chemical Straightener - Depending on how curly/course you are I had to use two and I was able to actually cut my hair off to a cute above the shoulder! If you don't want the chemical route definitely go with the CHI iron - it costs close to $150 but it is well worth it!!

My hair is chemically straightened and has been for about 8 years. My hairdresser does it and it works very well but it's expensive at 鎷?25.00 a time and needs the regrowth done every few months. I found using straightening irons too time consuming and the chemicals are less damaging to the condition, I find.

Chemical traightener works like a perm, only it is to straighten hair instead of curling it. Chemical traightenning will help ease up your curls if you have curly curly hair, to get it near straight, you might have to make a return trip to the hair salon for a second straightenning. This is quite damaging to your hair just like perming or coloring would. Just know that it will not make your hair bone traight, if that's what your looking for, you'll be disapointed.

Besides chemical straighten, you can purchase a ceramic flat iron, get a pro one (about $100.00- $150.00) dont get a cheap one from the drug store (cheap flat iron will only damage your hair and takes forever to straighten).
