Why do old people have curly hair?

I don't think I've ever seen a woman over 60 with straight hair. It's always short and curly. Is this a natural process of aging, or is this just a style that old people everywhere seem to like? Does your hair curl as it turns gray?

Why do old people have curly hair?

My grandmother over 60 has extremly straight hair natrually.... where have you been?

Why do old people have curly hair?

Your hair gets dryer and frizzier as you get older and it turns grey. To minimize the time you have to spend styling it and trying to deal with it's unruly-ness older ladies usually get it permed or styled into the old lady poof that is so common.

Why do old people have curly hair?

Have not noticed that myself, and I have been on this planet for almost 60 years

Why do old people have curly hair?

Well long hair tends to look hippy-ish after u start to gray. The bob is usually next, then old ladies usually get those really tight perms so the hair is short and easy to manage i guess. It usually isnt natural unless they were born w/ curly hair or it got a little wavier when they got older but thats not that common.

Why do old people have curly hair?

maybe they curl there hair to make them feel young =)

Why do old people have curly hair?

Guess I'm not as old as I thought. My hair is still blond as ever and straight as a board. Have to get perms for it to look decent - my age 76.

Why do old people have curly hair?

No it does not curl after 60 They all like to look alike and have a perm put their hair.

Some times its looks better than have it cut like a man, which looks awful on older woman.

Why do old people have curly hair?

it is probably just easier to take care of. but i have seen some older women with long straight hair. :)
