Have very long, thick and curly hair that's hard to manage. What cut/style should i get to make

My hair is up to about my mid-back and its really thick and frizzy/curly. i like it long but it's so much to deal with. I can never wake up early enough in the morning to make it look nice. plus, i had it japanese straightened about a year and half ago and it's still growing out which makes things even harder. i think i want to cut it but i have no idea what kinda cut i should get. i'm thinking really short so it won't take a while to straighten and stuff but i need a cut that will look nice when it's curly too.

any suggestions?

if its curly, i would advise you not to cut it too short, unless you were going to get it chemically straightened
