How do i control my curly hair?

I have curly hair myself and have tried soo many products its ridiculous. It seems that it will shrink and get puffy no matter how much leave in conditioner, gel, mouse, whatever you put in. I even though garnier fructis would work, but it doesn't. To answer your question, the only product that's works for me is Miss Jessie's Curly Pudding and Curly Butter-creme. It can be costly but it works EVERY TIME. Have used it for about 1 1/2 years now and its never let me down. The first link is a list of retail locations across the country that carry it. The second link is where you can order it from directly.

i had the same prob. Now I just straighten it but uhm...if you buy some aussie products. They REALLY work and I have crazy wild curly hair, but it's pretty if you know how to maintain it. Good Luck =D

i have this same problem! i used mousse and hairspray together and it worked for a little bit (i mean a few hours) but after that it just got super puffy again...i feel your pain and it seems like there is nothing that works! =(

I have very fine but naturally curly hair and the only product that holds up against frizz and now especially humidity is Loreal StudioLine Springing Curls Gel. I find I have the best results when I put it in while my hair is pretty wet. I flip my head upside down and scrunch it in. I also blow dry WITH A DIFFUSER! You must have a diffuser. Mine was three bucks at Walgreens and it's adjustable. No diffuser-no blow dryer. Good luck!

Brush your hair out wet upside down in the shower (head to floor)-leave conditioner in it to make it easier if this is difficult. Towel it dry. Brush again with a soft bristle brush (both times) Then when you flip your head back up, use your fingers again to arrange it. Put some gel or whatever you use in it (you need to use a lot, make sure it's not a type or amount that makes it look hard and shell like). Let it air dry.

It's also probably your hair cut. 90% of the barbers out there don't no how to cut curly hair no matter what they say. I got fed up and I've been doing mine for years now myself. They always try to layer it which makes it *poof* out. You have to let it grow out to the same length all around and then cut the end length to whatever look you want. I've got a ringlet kinda thing which is irritating to deal with, but looks great so I deal with it.

avtually ive given layers to many people with extremely curly hair. it is the type of layers you give that determines how your hair will react with the cut....its more than just snipping hair here and there....angles and height and depth all have to be considered in a haircut......there are many different types of layers...some for straight normal hair and some for curly haired people.... careful with the one lengths....those create weight on the bottom and depending on your hair type(example: thick, medium or course...or thin. and the texture) so it could make your hair worse adding all the weight into the bottom of your hair...your hair may poof out more on the bottome.....

but anyways.....i have naturally curly hair as well......i used ISO's bouncy curl and it works well......cream based products seem to work well with really curly unrulely hair.......also try putting a mouse when its wet then when its about 75% dry...put a nice gel in it......a generous amount of gel should work. make sure uu work the mouse through your hair very well when its wet.
