How can I get my hair to stay curly like in this picture?

I love Tyra Banks' curly hair. Her hair is always so pretty. How can I get my hair to stay like this? (first row, third picture!!)

Please give me steps on how to do it, and what products (specific brands) I would need. If I need a curler to make my hair look like this, please tell me what curling iron would work best. Thank you very much! : )

I too love Tyra Banks' hair when it's curled. Personally, I'd just scrunch my hair if I were you!

If you have naturaly curly hair:

Take a shower

Don't towel dry, but squeeze all the moisture that you can from you're hair.

put some product in it (bed head curling scrunch, and garnier have good product for wavy hair)

scrunch the product into you're hair

take a blow dryer, with a diffuser, and wrap a section (small, but not tiny) around you're finger, blowdry each section.

you're hair should be semi wavy when you are done. If you want it a little more. Use a curling iron from conair (1 inch--you can get them at walmart or fred meyer or walgreens) to add some volume!

If you have straight hair:

take a shower

use curling shampoo (it doesnt curl you're hair, but it makes you hair alot easier to curl)

towel dry a little

put some mousse in it (brilliant brunette from john freida works really well!)

without brushing it or making a part, flip you're head over and blowdry you're hair upside-down, this gives volume

take a curling iron (1 inch, conair) and instead of using the clamp to curl it, use you're finger to wrap section of hair around the barrel. Depending how big the section of hair are, hold to hair feel hot. let go, and bobby pin each curl securly to you're head. Once you've done you're whole head like this, make sure that you're hair has cooled and take the bobby pins out. Shake you're head from side to side. You may need to do some touch ups wit h the curling iron.

waa-la!

hope that helped!
