I have really curly hair?

My curls are really tight and kinky and I think I've tried every straightner known to man but nothing seems to work. I also have bought all the straightning gels and and creams, the special brushes to use while blow drying and I'm at my wits end......nothing is working! I hate my curly hair and I am determined as I have been for the past 27 years to get it straight so can anyone please give me some ideas? Is there a new straightner out , or new products that maybe I have not tried yet? I would prefer answers from hairstylist and or people that have experienced the same problem. Serious answers only please!

i no alot of people are suggesting to get ur hair permanantly straightened at a salon, but thats really damaging and thins out ur hair alot. i've had it done several times before and it really isn't worth it cuz it only made it slightly more manageable and alot thinner nd if ur 27, in 13 yrs. u'll probably be wishing u had thicker hair-plus it's way too expensive. i have reeeaaally curly hair, u no the tight, kinky, frizzy kind, same as urs and the only hair straightener that ever worked for me is the maxiglide...... i love this straightener. it makes my hair look naturally straight and its so easy to use. there's no need for the annoying blowdrying and other stuff. just after u washed ur hair, with a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner cuz curly hair needs moisture, i reccomend biolage. then put an ant-frizz serum in it like frizz-ease extra-strength serum. then, wait for it to air dry. after ur done, use the maxiglide, which is incrediby easy to use, and u'll have beuatiful, natural looking straight hair! i hope this helps and good luck with ur curls, cuz i no how much they could be a pain.......lol. hope i helped!!

Have you ever thought about getting your hair straightened at a hair salon? If you have really straight hair and tried almost everything I would say your best bet would be to get it permatley done at a hair salon, It would be much easier so that you wouldn't have to straighten your curly hair everyday and it would be MUCH more easier to handle! ( my husband was on here and I saw him look at this question and I was like LET ME ANSWER THIS I AM A GIRL!) haha good luck!

there are a few good hair straighters at walgreens, they would relax your curls more that straighten them. in my experience, i did have one lady ask me to straighten her hair, at all means nessesary, to we used a relaxed and natural type straightener, that worked really well, she walked out happy, with a wave. relaxed and natural is for african american hair, it is quite strong. just don't forget to wear a towel around your kneck, and don't get too close to your scalp. hope this helps.

i have extremely curly hair as well. ive tried everything there is to straighten it with chemicals and cream but to be honest the only thing that is going to work that way is for you to go to a professional hair salon and let them chemically treat it, but this can be expensive. i use a straightening iron that i purchased at target, but you can buy them just about anywhere. if you slowly do your hair in thin layers, it straightens out perfectly and looks great.
