I have a short hair too but now it grew long. I didn't do anything in my hair, I just make it straighten and didn't curl it up because I look like a monster said my mother. I suggest to make it straighten and then wait for months to grow long.

I think that's beautiful. It would be a shame to staighten it, but don't curl it with any irons. Just apply a curl activating cream and maybe something anti-frizz so it looks put together.
